In April 1966 Freshman Mike Ruet set out to break the collegiate record for hours of continuous broadcasting. The old record of 70 hours was set in 1948 by Phil McDowell at WPCS at William Penn College in Iowa. Ruet's goal was 80 hours. In this picture Julie Bloesch checks on Mike's progress. He did break the record.
